Text Box: Super Soundproofing Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV)   SSP MLV is a specifically developed mass layer product offering superior acoustic transmission loss combined with good dampening properties.   The MLV offers STC ratings up to 32.  It is a low cost material used for a variety of applications including but not limited to commercial, residential, and industrial construction.  A typical installation greatly reduces sound transmission between adjoining spaces.   The combination of the damping and stiffness properties of the MLV gives it excellent performance as a barrier to airborne as well as structural noise.  A pressure-sensitive adhesive option is available to ease the installation of the product.   MLV is sold by the lineal foot or by the roll in either 4’ or 4.5’ wide rolls up to 30’ in length.
